UNIQLO Andy Warhol Black & White Soup Can T-Shirt

US$19.00

In 1962, Andy Warhol debuted his possibly best-known work, _Campbell's Soup Cans_. The 32 canvases, which are now part of MoMA's collection, rested on a shelf mounted on the wall, like groceries in a store. The number of paintings corresponds to the types of soup then sold by the Campbell Soup Company. Warhol assigned a different soup variety to each, checking them off on a product list supplied by Campbell once their "portraits" were completed. The UNIQLO at MoMA collaboration reflects the spirit of Warhol's continuous exploration of pop culture iconography.
