The parallel stripes in glossy and matt cacao brown create a musical stave, a sort of dreamlike score winding around the piano’s body. Close up, the piano’s interior is a hypnotic red vermilion, down to the smallest detail: the underside of the lid, the cast-­‐iron structure, the sounding board, the bridges, and even the string felts and dampers.
