An extremely large gilded and rock crystal Cage chandelier having two rows of arms totalling 12 and small pygmy bulb holders within its frame giving a total of 16 lights With finials on two levels of rock crystal finialsfrom which sprays radiate and curve attached with florettes and shaped plaques The chandelier has the central core or shaft also with large octagonal pebbled stem at the top with a large spray of shaped plaques and rosettes I have two layers , above another outstretched shaped set of arms with two rows of plaques and unusual shaped pebbles with grooves The frame profusely hung with plaques and the bottom with shaped arms plaques and pebbles and starbursts terminating in a shaped octagonal ball PLACE OF ORIGIN: France DATE OF MANUFACTURE: circa 1870 PERIOD: Late 19th Century CONDITION: Excellent HEIGHT: 5 ft. 3 in.
