Scientists believe that Otodus was one of the top predators of its time, devouring everything from marine mammals to large bony fish. Incredibly, they reached upwards of 30 feet in total length. Evidence also suggest that Otodus may gave evolved into _Carcharocles megalodon_, the largest predatory fish that ever lived.
