A Louis Vuitton Lady's Wardrobe Trunk, the canvas body with allover LV monogram and fleur-de-lys, the sides with brown leatherlike Lozine trim with LV monogram in two bands, the sides of the trunk with darker brown leather carrying handles, the lockplate engraved 'Louis Vuitton, 10 Champs Elysees, Paris, 148 New Bond Street, London'.
One side with red-painted owner's initials H.C.T, N-Y (presumably for New York), the corners and sides with protective studded brass, the beige canvas interior fully fitted on one side with a pull-down storage compartment over three drawers of different sizes, the central drawer compartmentalised, with a second pull-out storage compartment, the right side with metal hanging bars, wooden hangers and a wooden restraining bar, with two interior labels inscribed 'Louis Vuitton, Asnieres s[ur] Seine; Paris - 70 Champs Elysees; Nice - 4, Jardin Public; Lille - 34, Rue Faidherbe; London - 149, New Bond Street'.
