A rare and unusual late Victoria leather and silver belt collar, one of the mounts fitted with two propelling pencils by Samuel Mordan & Co, each attached to a silver chain, the larger of the two inscribed 'Jan 22nd 1912 from R.T.I & G.V.I, with registration number 560693, the silver mounts hallmarked for Birmingham 1897\\. The patent number 560693 was registered with the London Patent Office in 1910, some 13 years after the belt was made.
The most likely explanation for this is that Samuel Mordan & Co bought the belt and subsequently embellished it with their famous propelling pencils.
