McLaren: Pursuit of Excellence
It’s rigorous standards and adherence to creating exceptional vehicles has made McLaren the pacesetter in developing unrivalled cars.
Conceived from his aspirations to compete with the best, Bruce McLaren established the McLaren brand in 1963 and in the following year, built the M1A, the initial McLaren sports car. From the service station and workshop operated by his mother and father, he acquired the technical ability to engineer automobiles and through the competitions that he participated in, Bruce’s record as a four-time winner of the Grand Prix exhibited that he was also a precocious driver with an innate ability to navigate the racetrack.
Following the debut of the M1A, McLaren released the M1B, an imposing contender that would lead the fledging company to compete in the Canadian-American Challenge Cup. Their series of triumphs in 1967 would cement McLaren’s standing as a daunting opponent in the motor racing industry and a leading producer of sports cars. For instance, the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C on Luxify is defined by its distinctive orange exterior, 3.8-liter engine, flat torque curve, stability-control system, hydraulic suspension and rear airfoil. Supplementary features include its dual rotating dials with three settings – namely normal, sport and track – and its coaxial buttons. Built on a legacy of winning and lofty expectations, McLaren has amassed a substantial following of racing fanatics because of the caliber of its cars and its forceful ambition.
