8 Bordeaux Wines from Lunzer Collections
As German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, “Wine rejoices the heart of man and joy is the mother of all virtues.”
Celebrate each special occasion in your life with this case (12 x 75 cl) of each of the following 8 bottles of Bordeaux 2000 (around HK $190,500). Get the collection here.
1. Chateau La Mission Haut Brion, 2000
A complexity of a mixture of red fruits with extravagantly sweet aromas of black currents, blueberries, scorched earth, asphalt and graphite, the wine is spherical and generous without a trace of aggressiveness.
2. Chateau Leoville las Cases, 2000
Classic with masses of mineral, floral and blueberry character with hints of mint, the wine’s long finish is refined and silky.
3. Chateau Leoville Poyferre, 2000
The plushest, most ostentatious and dramatic of all the Leovilles in 2000, the wine displays a slightly roasted nose of vanilla bean, black chocolate, jammy black cherries and chocolate mint in a flamboyant style.
4. Chateau Lynch Bages, 2000
An attractive and youthful mélange of blackcurrant, graphite, soil tones, creamy new oak and a hint of cigar tobacco, the garnet colored wine is nicely ripe.
5. Chateau Montrose, 2000
Relatively young, the mid crimson wine has a classical Bordeaux aroma dominated by blackcurrant, delivering graphite, bittersweet chocolate and licorice.
6. Chateau Palmer, 2000
Classic cherry licorice raspberry mineral flavors with hints of smoke and truffle, the wine is still young and the flavors are still developing.
7. Chateau Pichon Comtesse Lalande, 2000
An effusive and complex wine with dark fruits and spice on the nose following through on the palate, revealing aromas of crushed berries, gravel, tar, leather and smoked vanilla.
8. Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron, 2000
Offering notes of barbecue spices intermixed with new saddle leather, crème de cassis, melted licorice and a hint of vanilla, the inky purple wine is ferociously fruity with a seamless finish.
