Pang Yongjie, born in Shandong in 1968, is widely recognized as one of China’s leading “post contemporary” abstract artists. His paintings are favoured by collectors in Asia and Europe, and have achieved success at auction. Pang’s signature style of sensual, fluid, voluptuous, maternal and often humorous abstract female forms is modelled on the female figures of Tang dynasty art. His works have been exhibited across China, Asia, New York, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France.
