Urban space stimulates Laurent Dequick's artistic creation. He stumbles onto both the remains of the past (structures, architecture or monuments) and symbols of contemporary cities (signs, road signs or advertisements). The photographer systematically seeks access to myths that certain images have created, transmitted or conveyed within collective memory.**The artist: Laurent Dequick**This 40 year old photographer is an architect by profession. There are signs of this in his work as it is first of all a reflection on contemporary cities and more specifically about the proliferation of modern urban space. Laurent Dequick's purpose is to accurately convey an impression of frenzy which results from a density of population and activity in urban areas: "Along the streets, the lights, the noise, the traffic, the swarms of pedestrians, the blend of smells, are so fascinating that no single shot can entirely capture it. Do choices have to be made? I don't think so; I don't want to?"

Urban Tracks
US$86.10 Taking photographs of areas where there is life involves depicting, not the least by evocation, the time passing (â¦). My study is the feeling, the emotion which results from the juxtaposition of multiple moments.â In general photography fixes a given moment forever, this artist adds these moments up by superimposing the shots. The offset accumulation creates a vibration and...

Comme une mer déchainée

Comme une banquise de Jade
US$80.79 The zebra of Grant love wide-open spaces and freedom, finding in the swamps of Amboseli, in the south of Kenya, a pleasant but risky playground. The herd is placed under the vigilant eye of an alpha female whose role consists of watching over and protecting the members of the group, and mainly the youngest ones. As calm and seductive...

Comme une tornade imprévisible
US$80.79 The muddy depths of the Tanzanian NâGorongoro caldera become virtually impassable during the monsoon season. Once emptied of its animals and visitors, it can sometimes deliver unusual scenes, like this lone elephant in a field of wild flowers. As they grow older, the males tend to distance themselves from the herd. They can become bad-tempered, unpredictable and haughty, denying...

Comme une planète égarée
US$80.79 This aerial image was taken in Botswana, revealing the variations of grasses and alluvion that sketch out again with each annual flood the incredible labyrinth of the Okavango delta. Beyond the paths traced in the reeds by mammals, there is always a drifting portion of land, lost in the midst of capricious waters, where antelope can find relative peace,...

US$80.79 This aerial photograph reveals how, with the onset of the southern winter, the black-tailed wildebeests, known as Blue wildebeests, leave the drought-stricken plains of the Serengeti head to tail, heading for the nutrient-rich plains of Kenya. Following an ancestral ritual, this spectacular exodus of fauna takes on an even more dramatic dimension when seen from the sky.**The artist: Patrick...

COMME UN PUZZLE D?HERBES
US$80.79 This aerial photograph was taken at the foot of the Kilimanjaro, where the swampland of the Amboseli national park in Kenya dissimulates life that is only perceptible from the sky. During the day, the elephants laze about with their family, in the cool water, dispersing the plant life on the surface of the water as they walk.**The artist: Patrick...
