**SURVIVRE**

Many Shiwei's works are often sharing as a starting point her own body, and through the body she measures the surrounding world. Her approach is close to the one of a self-taught woman, she let herself to be guided by instinctive drives, in a perspective that the artist defines as "sensualist". Her artistic quest follows a pace like of an animal instinctively discovering its own world. Continuously searching for the manifestation of Reality, for the artist there's no other truth than the body, calling it the only true discriminant of human condition. In her artistic language nudity is often used (it has be understood in the sense of classical beauty) because it's out of time and an egalitarian condition among humans of any latitude and culture, breaking the mental restrictions that are a limit to the capacity to disclose the other beyond oneself. Human is instinct, and through instinct human is measure of the whole, from the immensity of the Universe till the micro-revelation of reality, finally revealing to himself his own condition and the universality of his behaviour.
