Biography of the Painter:
Robert Polidori was born in 1951 in Montreal, Canada, and currently lives in California.
Polidori’s international success is rooted in his extensive photo reportage for magazines such as The New Yorker (where he is a staff photographer alongside Martin Schoeller), Architectural Digest, Geo, and Vanity Fair, and is officially recognized by awards including the German Photo Book Prize and the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award. Robert Polidori’s work has been shown not only in numerous galleries, but also in internationally renowned museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal, and the Martin- Gropius-Bau in Berlin. In addition, there have been numerous publications on Polidori’s extensive work, including a three-volume illustrated book of photographs documenting the monumentality of the Palace of Versailles, Parcours Muséologique Revisité, which won the Liliane Bettencourt Prix de la Photographie.
