The richest of Dutch citizens lived in the curve known as the "Golden Bend". An explosion of cultural, industrial, militaristic and artistic innovation, spurred by an intellectually friendly climate which triggered a massive expansion in population.

Amsterdam expanded rapidly throughout the 17th century, and monuments from that period still exist today and in pristine condition no less. Inspired by the luxury and wealth of this historic quarter, this scene utilizes shades of brown and gold to render this incredible facade.
