The three cut-outs are made out of three aerial photographs coming from the ecuadorian Military Geographic Institute’s archive. These are views of the amazon forest. The photographs are cut following the optical illusion pattern “reversible cubes” or “tumbling blocks”, based on the Necker cube, a multistable object of psychophysics that is constantly switching of perspectives. This oscillation is similar to the shaman in his abaility to move between human and non-human points of view.
