This table is made from French burr walnut which has a beautiful grain, and has been embellished with exquisite marquetry decoration. These regal decorations include bouquets of beautiful flowers, ribbons urns and vases. It has been expertly French polished to bring out the wonderful colour and highlight the inlaid marquetry decoration. The table has two leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion by a special winding mechanism. When completely wound in, the table is transformed into a six seat oval dining table. The leaves can then be stored away until required. Four elegantly carved legs terminate in brass cap castors. The ten Regency style chairs compliment the table beautifully, they comprise a pair of armchairs and eight side chairs. They are made of solid hand carved mahogany and have upholstered drop in seats.
