Private collection.The papal tiara is the pope’s hat: it represents the triple Church (Militant, Penitent and Triumphant) but also the three powers of the pope: father of kings, rector of the world and vicar of Christ. From the papal tiara hang the infulae.Under the papal tiara there are the keys, symbol of the legate that Jesus Christ left to St. Peter (the care of the keys of the Kingdom) and hence of the Christianity, decussate like the cross of St. Andrew. The decussate keys of St. Peter have become, since the 14th century, the official emblem of the Holy See.In the lower part there is a Latin inscription “Perpetua Petrus”, which means “Eternal Peter”.Exclusive lot of excellent quality and workmanship.
