They consisted of a bundle of wooden sticks bound with leather straps, usually around an axe. They were successively used as heraldic symbols of political movements and ideologies of the 20th century, such as fascism. The item has a wonderful patina. Therefore, the year “VI” engraved on this item indicates the year between 29 October 1927 and 28 October 1928. It is in excellent overall condition, completely intact.
