Mahogany cylinder roll-top bureau with rosewood inlays.The opening of the roll-top is controlled by a mechanism activated by the central drawer. When this drawer is closed, it locks the three drawers above the top. The interior of the desk is veneered in satinwood, with leather top. This piece of furniture was restored preserving the original patina and polished with shellac to enhance the different types of precious wood.Period: 1880/1900.Style: Louis XVI.Wood: mahogany, rosewood, satinwood, oak.Decorations: gilt bronze.Dimensions: cm width 85 x height 105 x depth 54 x 70 open top.* The leather is not original. It was replaced.
