This clock was made by Holland's most famous watch/clock maker, Christiaan van der Klaauw. In 1995 it was made in an edition of 24 pieces, of which this clock is no. 12/24. (I'm not sure of this.)The special thing about this clock is that besides giving the time indication it also shows the planetary system revolve around the sun. The dial depicts the zodiac with the corresponding moon phase indications. The inspiration of Christiaan van der Klaauw for making, among other things, this clock, is the planetarium of Eise Eisinga from Franeker in Friesland. The melodies are: Westminster, Whittington or Saint Michael. The casing is made of walnut with oak enclosures and stands on a blackened wooden foot; is in immaculate condition.
