Sterling silver ciborium by Paul Brunet - Paris - Circa 1900

Silver and silver gilt ciborium. It stands on a base with multiple lobes,with a medallion decoration presenting the Holly Family, a medallions presenting the Holly Virginwith Child applied, frieze of plants and floral patterns. The foot has a node, with the inscription ‘ECCE PANIS ANGELORUM’. It supports the bowl with medallions decorationpresenting the tetramorph, frieze of plants and floral patterns. Thelid, topped with a cross on a globe, presents a medallions decorationpresenting the radiant cross, the balance, the radiating Sacred Heart and the anchor.Silver gilt interior. On the reverse is an engraved inscription ‘"H.B. 8 décembre 1892-1917’.Minerva hallmarks Master silversmith: Paul Brunet in Paris.Weight: 341 g.Height: 20.8 cm. Diameter: 10.5 cm.
