Reproduction of the Madonna dei Fossi of Pinturicchio (the original painting is preserved at the Galleria Nazionale dell' Umbria in Perugia), it’s a wooden inlay work stored inside a frame with ivory, mother of pearl and wood inlaid. On the back, the table shows the inscription: "Esposizione Umbra 1879 Alessandro Monteneri di Perugia".The work is accompanied by an attribution with its estimate by prof. Paolo Cesari, dated 15th January 2009.Measures: height 35 cm, width 60 cmOther works of Alexander Monteneri are preserved in the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery,in the modern art gallery of Palazzo Pitti in Florence, in the collection of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia.A " wedding cradle" of Alessandro Monteneri was sold at the auction house Il Babbuino in Rome, lot no. 357, auction of 27th-30th March 2012.Bibliography: 1873: Della Scultura e Tarsia in legno dagli antichi tempi ad oggi, edited by D.
