Napoleon III mahogany secretaire, from France, ca. 1890. The secretaire has a wide drawer on the upper part, a folding top in the middle with a wide space inside, and three drawers at the bottom. The secretaire has one original key that opens only the folding top. It has all the bronze fittings of the front feet, but a handle is missing on one drawer on the lower part. The secretaire is in excellent condition. The marble is intact and coeval, but a piece of the veneer came off in the lower part, see photo no. 24.
