A quite exceptional mid 18th century burr amboyna bureau cabinet.The timber particularly beautifully marked, the reverse serpentine interior with eight drawers and a cupboard revealing an internal drawer. The top metaphorically opening when the slide is pulled forward. Strong Bombé shape. Very fine original gilt bronze handles and retaining original claw and ball feet on cabriole supports.
