Louis Philippe secretaire in walnut and burr wood, made in France in ca. 1850. This secretaire has a large wavy drawer on the upper part, a folding top in the middle and three drawers at the bottom. Inside the folding top there are many drawers and secret compartments, for example the small side drawers (see photo no. 26) or the bottom of the central drawer (see photos 13, 14 and 15). To open the side drawers, visible in photo no. 26, you need to push on the recess shown in picture no. 27. The secretaire is in fairly good condition but needs some small restorations. There is the key, but the locks need to be revised. However there are no cracks or broken parts and the marble is perfectly intact and coeval.
