Beautiful sculpture carved out from a single block of Asiago pink marble. It depicts two frightened prancing horses with windblown manes. The horse with the mouth completely open seems in the act of neigh for an imminent danger. The anatomy of these two animals is beautiful but they have some visible chips on the base and a repair on the face of the smallest horse. Also one piece of the hear (of the big horse) was rebuilt. On the right leg there was a crack, now closed. The item can be restored to complete the missing pieces or it can be left as it is, in the same condition in which I found it. The item comes from a Venetian private house and was placed on a marble base on the fireplace. It dates back to the 1950s ca. Size: height cm 63, width cm 32, length cm 53, weight 55 kg.
