Corpus Christi carved from wood with original polychromy / painting The corpus has a nice large size and measures 63 cm form head to feet Date: 17th century Origin Hispano Flamand ( Spain / Flanders) Finely carved and with beautiful details such as the serene face with open eyes and open mouth where the tongue and teeth are visible, long hair with loose carved locks that fall over the shoulders and a short beard On the loincloth is still a large part of the original gilding All fingers are still present but some of them were glued again The iron crown of thorns is probably of later date The condition of the carving is in accordance with its age with minor age-related damage Please see the photos, these are part of the description
