### DESCRIPTION

Exceptional 20th Century Chinese commemorative solid silver gilt sake drinking sake set, comprising of a large ewer, eight goblets and a tray. Each piece is richly gilt and extremely decorative, part-fluted and chased with scrolling foliate, set with semi-precious turquoises and stunningly cloisonne' enameled with flowers in high-relief. The large jug has a pull-off lid in the same style, the body is applied with two large enamel panels depicting the famous Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.

Each part is Hallmarked Chinese silver (stamped SILVER), mark used in 1970's for item made for export.
