Bronze Horse & Child Statuette After J D'aste

US$455.24

This is a delightful bronze depicting a boy with a horse after J D'aste. Joseph d'Aste was an Italian visual artist who was born in 1881. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Fête au village' sold at Auctioneers Bernaerts 'Art & Antiques - Old Masters' in 2013. The artist died in 1945. The boy walks beside the horse holding its reigns as it leaps forwards with its front legs off the ground. The base is also of bronze. The base bears the replica signature of J D'aste.
