This image of Krishna also known as navanitapriyanritta, shows the young incarnation of Vishnu dancing for joy having stolen a fresh butter ball from the kitchen. He is depicted dancing on one leg on a double lotus, flanked by his consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama who are separately cast and able to be removed. The three figures are all placed on a tiered stand supported by eight squatting lions and backed by an elaborate mandala separately cast incorporating columns, scrolls, foliage, and fabled animals.
