This is a novelty antique Edwardian silver plated inkwell made by Hamilton Laidlaw & Company, circa 1900. The inkwell features a golf ball with liner for the ink and a pair of crossed golf clubs. The plateau is beautifully engraved with scrolling leaves and is inscribed Broxbourne Golf Club. It stands on shell and paw feet.
