Rare canopy bed from Fujian, China. Totally lacquered with rhus verniciflua, friezes and paintings run through the piece, creating an unique bed. The legs are finely carved with flowers, music instruments and books. The black and gold painting represents scene of court life.
Bed has been valued and examinated by italian ministry of cultural heritage
