Antique brass Carl Zeiss Jena microscope serial nr. 13226, sold in 1889.One of the first quality medical microscopes designed for microphotography from the Zeiss factory in Jena. This model is equipped with a 3 position rotating nosepiece.The microscope comes equipped with a large mechanical stage, a.k.a. table.The stage has two Vernier scales; one for the X-axis and one for the Y-axis. At the underside is a milled head for 360° rotation of the object slide.It has a tilting continental stand with fine focusing triple turret, double sided mirror (one flat, one concave), and is overall in museum condition with only minor traces of use.Various accessories are supplied with the microscope: brass containers (Ross and Watson & Sons, London) diaphragm, eye-piece X6-42mm, an extension lens and two adaptor rings.
