This is a lovely, antique Art Deco burr walnut, domed display cabinet, circa 1920 in date. The cabinet features inward hinged glass doors with the original silvered glazing and two glass shelves. It stands on striking shaped bracket feet. It is an elegant piece which would also work with contemporary interiors. However the true burr is a rare growth on the tree where hundreds of tiny branches have started to grow. Burr walnut produces some of the most complex and beautiful figuring you can find.
