### DESCRIPTION
Antique early-20th Century Imperial Russian solid silver gem set kovsh, handle and front applied with emerald and sapphire cabochons and the body chased with traditional Pan-Slavic decoration, inside part gilt. Hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875 standard), Moscow, Assay master Ivan Lubedkin (1898-1914), Maker's mark in Cyrillic for (Marshak, founded by Joseph Abramovich Marchak, a young talented jeweler (1878, Kiev), then Russia. Considered one of the great competitors of Faberge at the beginning of last century and sometimes called "The Cartier of Kiev", the company employed 150 workers at the start of the Russian Revolution of 1917), Inventory number 738, French import mark (swan)
