### DESCRIPTION

Antique early 20th Century German solid silver ornamental, realistically modelled figure of a cockerel, of large size, with detachable head and spreading wings, heavy gauge and high quality of workmanship. The figure is beautifully engraved to the last detail and well refined.

The body hallmarked with German Hanau marks of B.Neresheimer & Sohne (founded 1893), head and body is hallmarked with Russian later marks (916 standard, used 1927-54), P in circle (restored goods, used 1951), guarantee marks and retailers mark in Cyrillic RU (unknown to me), also the head and body hallmarked with English import marks, 925, London, 1904 (i), Importers mark B.H.M (Bethhold Hermann Muller)
