Antique 19th Century Norwegian silver-gilt & cloisonneé-enamel tea service, comprised of a sugar bowl, cream jug, 12 cups, 12 saucers and 12 spoons, decorated with white enamel on floral scrolls, with white intertwining and beaded boarders on silver-gilt ground.
Each item Hallmarked Norwegian silver (925 standard), Oslo, Maker's mark David Andersen (mark used 1880-1925), Widely considered as one of the best Norwegian gold and silversmiths, who is particularly renowned for his enamel work.
