DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century German 14k solid gold snuff box, of rectangular cushion shape, the lid applied with a statue of Rembrandt on matted ground surrounded with laurel leaves, hinged lid applied with a floral thumb-piece, throughout engraved with scrolls and flowers. Hallmarked with German 14k marks (tested 585 standard), Hanau, Maker Charles Collins & Sohne.
