DESCRIPTION

Antique early-19th Century French large 18k gold-mounted, hand painted enamel miniature snuff box, round shaped and slightly concave for easy access, with a stylized floral boarder and elaborate thumbpiece, the top applied with a gold mounted laurel leaf boarder, the center mounted with an exquisitely hand painted miniature of a semi-nude mother beating her son with a rose branch. Apparently unmarked (acid tested 750+ standard)
