Antique early-19th Century unusual Continental solid silver & niello lidded cup, inside parcel gilt, of traditional-shaped, the cup hand engraved and decorated with niello depicting religious scenes, standing on a figural base supported by a tree and a soldier, the cast base decorated with repoussé scroll work and masks, lid mounted with a figural finial. Hallmarked French foreign silver mark (ET) and other unknown marks.
