Beautiful Guanyin. Goddess is depicted standing, always looking down, towards those who suffer. The right hand is raised in Karana mudra, which expels demons and removes obstacles such as sickness or negative thoughts. It is made by raising the index and the little finger, and folding the other fingers. In her left hand the goddess holds a jar containing the nectar of immortality. On her feet a dragon creates the base of the sculpture with its swirls. Particularly fine carving of the garment that falls on the body and arms creating contrasting movement with a solemn expression of sweetness.
