Description:
The asymmetric curved blade cast in intaglio at the top on both sides with a frieze of large circles separated by hourglass shaped
pattern, under which a band of triangular pattern went around the whole piece. The rectangular tang cast in bold sunken lines on
both sides with animal heads composed of curved horns and square eyes. An inscription cast on the upper left corner of the tang,
replacing one of the horns and merging into the animal head. Overall in green patina.
An archaeology found unearthed in Anyang , Henan, 2007 is with similar pattern and shape, refer to_ Kaogu_ , issue no.5, 2009;
Another _yue_ kept in the Museum Rietberg (formerly Winkler collection), Zurich also decorated with circle and triangular pattern,
illustrated in Li Xueqin, Sarah Allan ed.,_ Chinese Bronzes: A Selection from European Collections_ , Beijing: Cultural Relics Publishing House, 1995, no.62.
