A very nice sculpture depicting Lorenzo de’ Medici dressed in his gear This sculpture is made in the second half of the 19th century by the foundry of Collas in France after an example of Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) The original was part of a tomb that this famous Italian artist made between 1520 and 1534 for Lorenzo de’ Medici, Duke of Urbino Lorenzo (1449-1492) was one of the most influential and famous members of the De' Medici family He was the son of Piero de' Medici and ruled the Florentine Republic during the peak of the Italian renaissance The sculpture is made with great craftsmanship which is reflected in the many beautiful details of this sculpture It has a warm patina Details: Height: 37 cm Width: 13 cm Depth: 14 cm Weight: 7.1 kg The sculpture has a foundry stamp with the text ‘Réduction Méchanique-A.Collas-Brevete The sculpture is in good general condition with some minor signs of age-related wear and use, the photos speak for themselves A very decorative and eye-catching sculpture which also carries a nice piece of history with it Will be carefully packaged and sent by registered mail (with track & trace)
