Rare sculpture with chandelier from the 19th century. It depicts a polychrome Venetian Moor with round base that supports a 5-arm and five-light chandelier, handmade in light blue Murano glass. It is surmounted by candles which are lamp holders for incandescent light bulbs (modern, replaced later). The chandelier is in working condition.In very good condition, given its age. Please note that, unlike many other similar items on the market, this one was made in Veneto in the 19th century (well recognisable by experts for the working of the chandelier, which is the most precious element). I think the fake lamp holder candles should be removed and replaced with real candles.Height 260 cm approx. from the base to the top of the lamp.The base can be disassembled (support of the sculpture). It is decorated with paws of a mythological animal. The colours of the polychromy are preserved in good condition and the pure gold is predominant.Given the dimensions of the item, the pick up on site is preferred (in Naples). A careful shipping with a special protective packaging is also possible, but the cost must be arranged in advance and it will be at buyer’s charge, especially for international deliveries.
