The table is in excellent condition without any scratch or bruise.Inlays in ivory and mother-of-pearl all perfectly preserved, as the various types of wood (there are about 200 to 300 types) that were used for the creation of this work of art.The only restoration is on the floor mat, which has been replaced by a beautiful leather mat with pattern on the edge.The measures are: height 82cm - base 84.5 cm - depth 43 cm.This piece is attributed to Giuseppe Parvis (1831-1909). Born in Bremen in Lombardy, he studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin. In 1859 he settled in Cairo where he made and sold furniture. He gained international fame following the Universal Expositions in Paris in 1867, Philadelphia in 1876, Milan in 1881 and Turin in 1884, especially with his Egyptian revival style pieces.
