Description: Pair of 19th century interpretation of Greek amphora urns, based on the red figure vases of the fifth century B.C. This particular interpretation incorporates colorfully enamelled figures, depicting various scenes from Greek mythology on a white ground. The body of the vase has been glazed black, approximating the black glass employed by the ancient Greeks. Circa 1850.
